l 历史沿革 (HISTORY)
广西大学商学院正式成立于1997年，但它的历史可以追溯到1937年由前广西大学创建的经济学系。由于院系调整的缘故，广西大学经济学系1953年被停办，直到1984年才复办。1992年广西大学经济系改名为经济学院。广西大学商学院是前广西大学与前广西农业大学于1997年4月合并后得名的。(The Business School of Guangxi University was built formally in 1997. However, the history of the School can be traced to the Economics Department founded at former GU in 1937. For the reasons of higher education structural adjustment occur in China, the Department was suspended from 1953 to 1984. In 1992 the Department renamed as Economics College. The Business School was given the name while former Guangxi University and former Guangxi Agricultural University combined in April 1997.)
l 教职员工 (FACULTY)
商学院现有教职工112人。其中教授8人，副教授38人，讲师44人。教师中已有5人获博士学位，在读博士12人，45人获硕士学位。另外，商学院还在国内和国外聘请了10多位知名学者为兼职教授。(By September 2002, the School faculty number is 112 which including 8 professors, 38 associate professors and 44 lecturers. Among the teachers there are 17 were awarded Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate and 45 were awarded Master’s degree. Besides, the School also engages more than 10 famous scholars in Mainland China and overseas as guest professor.)

l 科学研究 (RESEARCH ADVANTAGES)
商学院每年获得的科研项目和科研成果在广西大学所有学院中一直名列前茅。从1997年以来，已获得10项国家自然科学基金和社会科学基金课题，11项省（部）级课题。研究领域包括企业战略管理、人力资源管理、产品促销、公司财务管理、广西与西南地区以及周边国家经济关系、外贸政策等等。从1997年至2001年，出版了52部专著，在国内外期刊上发表论文超过500篇。(The School is well reputed in research at GU. Since 1997 it has been funded more than 30 academic projects. Those include 10 from the national government and 11 from the local government The study fields involve enterprise strategy management, human resource management, product promote, corporate financial analysis, the regional development, economic relation among Guangxi and southwestern regions in China and the neighbor countries, foreign trade policy etc. From 1997 to 2001 there are 52 books and more than 500 professional papers had been published.)
顺应中国将与东盟10 国建立中国—东盟自由贸易区的形势，目前商学院正利用广西的地缘优势及与东盟的友好合作关系，组织全体教师联合中国有关机构、东盟10 国兄弟院校，进行“中国—东盟经济与管理问题”的全方位研究。(As international matters stands, China-ASEAN free trade area could be developed within 10 years. Since our geographical advantage and friendly relationship between Guangxi and the South-East countries exist, we plan to organize our researchers, unite other educational institutions in China and the South-East countries, to probe the economic and management issues of China and ASEAN in all aspects.)

l 国际交流 (INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGES)
商学院与国外院校建立了良好的关系，从1997年以来，已派出多名教师到美国、英国、德国和日本进修学习，每年也有不少外国教师来学院访问、讲学。1998年，商学院在南宁市成功地主办了国际商务学会东南亚地区分会年会。现在，已有少数来自东南亚国家的学生在商学院攻读硕士或学士学位。(Sound relationship between the School and several institutions in the foreign countries has been built. Since 1997 several faculties have been sent to US, UK, Germany and Japan as visiting fellow for further study. There are many professors came from oversea to the School for visiting or short term lecturing every year. In October 1998 we hosted successful the 1998 Annual Conference of the Academy of International Business Southeast Region (AIBSEAR) in Nanning. Currently, there are a few students came from Southeast Asian countries to pursue their MA or BA at the School.)
