About us
The China Economic Network is financially supported and run by the Secretariat of the China Economic Annual Conference. It stands for China’s economic education and research online. The CENET created the first economic study network in China since its establishment in December 1998. Today, it remains one of the top portal websites of economic studies.
The China Economic Network was founded by Professor Wen Hai, the Vice President of Peking University and deputy director of China Center for Economic Research.
Our users
We have more than 160,000 registered users, of which more than 80,000 are active. They benefit from a variety of pay-per-view services. As the statistics of our online questionnaire indicates, most of the users of this network are students or scholars with at least higher-education degrees and research abilities. Of them 91% are economics or finance majors, and 43% of them are M.A. or Ph. D.
Skills
The staff members of CENET are highly qualified. We have developed the advertising plat-form which could effectively tracking the clicks: how many times the advertisement has been clicked, at what time, from which IP address, etc. Also, with the advanced system, all the data about our website, key words, and other messages, are reported to the major search engines such as Google and Baidu.
Alexa Network global ranking
The CENET ranks 9521 in the most recent 3 months among all the websites around the world, according to the report of Jan 3, 2006. It is one of the very few academic websites in the world’s top 10,000.
